eco-chic sleep

If you’re a lover of linen bedding, then I definitely recommend switching from linen and trying hemp instead. Amber Fort’s Hemp Bedding is antibacterial (especially great for those with allergies and pet owners) and it thermoregulates your body while you sleep (keeping you warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer), which helps you maintain a better night’s rest. Amber Fort is luxurious, dreamy, and best of all - it’s sustainable… You literally help the environment just by going to sleep. Do your part, party people!

steamy aromatics

In need of a spa day? Aren’t we all. With the U.S. Elections tomorrow… this week… who-knows-how-long, stop by your local farmers market or flower stand and pick up a fresh bunch of blue eucalyptus. Eucalyptus leaves are known to promote relaxation, and also help relieve cold symptoms. When hung in your shower, the steam from your hot water helps release its aromas and will give a you a spa-like sensation every time. Plus it looks super cute and adds some greenery.

dream home

Dream guy too. But that’s neither here nor there. Welcome to Lenny Kravitz’s Brazilian paradise, featured in Architectural Digest’s April issue. I have swooned over this everyday since I first saw it. And yes, it’s only been a week, but do you have any idea how terrible my attention span… SQUIRREL.

splurge or steal

First of all, yes, I’m aware these two are not in comparison. Missoni is life. However, Urban Outfitters is the life I can afford. And they have oodles of awesome affordable decor... Like the colorful retro outdoor chair below. I LOVE.

As I’m currently working with my talented landscaper-homie Mike of Mike Pyle Design on my own outdoor space, you’re likely to see many outdoor furniture finds over these next couple months here or on the ‘gram.

splurge or steal

I love a good room divider. They’re so great in rooms where you have the space to create some separation without the intrusiveness of a wall. You can create an area to read, relax, put your kids (or friends) on time out… the possibilities are endless. Or if you live in a studio, it gives off the feeling of having more than one room.

splurge or steal

Back when the Rachel Zoe Project was on TV, I was obsessed with anything and everything RZ. One of my favorite things she did on her blog was “save or splurge,” “splurge or steal,” something of the sort. Naturally, we all instinctually want the splurge, it’s just not always attainable.

So here is my version, for home. Natural fiber striped rug…

this water filter ftw

I’ve been purchasing bulky, plastic water filters for as long as I can remember. My recurring order of a 4-pack of ZeroWater filters cost $44.99 on Amazon, and each filter lasts about a month... Give or take a few days. Yesterday, I discovered Japanese Binchotan Charcoal water filter sticks. They absorb the impurities from our tap water, resulting in pure, seriously great tasting water. One stick costs $12.95 on Amazon, and all you have to do is boil the stick and let it dry every two weeks to reactivate the charcoal filter. I’m so amazed and excited about this reusable, zero-plastic, eco and economically friendly water filter option... Binchotan Charcoal ftw!
